Ripple Effects
This morning in PSY 103 we discussed that sometimes the ripple effect from changes in our lives are more stressful than the actual change itself. For instance, death of a loved one is painful and stressful, but so are the ripples that come from the event. For starters, there are insurance and estate challenges. Then there's the issue of what to do with the loved one's belongings...and how to handle the mail that continues to arrive, sometimes months and years after the person dies. As another example, having a baby join the family is a positive change that also has its ripple effects. Actually, any big change has them, and I'm hoping that you'll share an example.

An example of the ripple effect that could impact someone who is getting married and in dept at the same time. Not being able to afford the house that you wanted because of the debt. Having to work two jobs just to make ends meet to pay the debt. Not being able to spend time with the family because of the jobs. Losing sleep over worring about the bills. Argueing all the time with the spouce because of the worrying about bills, lack of time, and sleep. I could go on and on with this but I think you get the point....
Yes, I get the point, and I must admit that I'm getting a little stressed out!
